This small luxury boutique hotel is located in the cosmopolitan northern suburb of Atholl in Johannesburg and was a joint project with Sumari Krige, interior designer, Adele van der Merwe and architect Pierre Lombart. From its earliest days, the hotel gathered immense interest from the media and style conscious visitors to Johannesburg who revel in the elegant surrounds. Each of the ten rooms is individually decorated and designed, providing a haven of tranquillity and ensuring guests are enveloped in comfort.

Collecting pieces on her global travels, Sumari amassed a selection of contemporary furnishings with a glamorous edge for the project, custom designing those items she was unable to source. AtholPlace is a reflection of Sumari’s ability to read spaces and to stamp her unique style on them, where antiques and contemporary collectables sit effortlessly together.
