The owners of this old Saxonwold family home decided they wanted the house gutted and completely refurbished. Working with well-known interiors expert Michele Throssel, Sumari Krige turned the space around in a record six months, including a sourcing trip overseas to find the right items for the scheme she had in mind. From an out-dated space, the house was transformed into a light airy home with a good flow and a sense of understated luxury that is ideal for a young family.
All the original carpentry was removed, making way for La Grange Interiors custom designed bleached-oak cupboards and shelving in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms and the crisp white walls are the perfect canvas for a luxurious mix of textured finishes and fabrics. Bar one or two items that belonged to the owners, this is a La Grange showcase- from the furniture to the fittings and the perfecbtsnapshot of the versatility and extent of La Grange furniture and smaller items. The mix of antique items and thoroughly modern collectables ensures this is a home that will age gracefully.
